Originally founded in the 14th century, this is the private chapel of Her Majesty the Queen.
We were requested to erect a number of towers to allow for repairs to be carried out to the stone work around the windows. There had been issues with a previous contractor who was removed from the project by a member of the Royal Family when they visited the chapel and found that insufficient care had been taken to protect the historic chapel and its prized contents.
We knew the structures would be under great scrutiny so arranged for brand new material to be used. The scaffold had to be designed to fit between the seats below, while maintaining access through the centre aisle of the chapel. We were commended for the care and diligence taken in both the pre-planning and the subsequent execution of our works.
