One elevation of this project had to be erected above the roof of an adjoining Tescos supermarket, from which a scaffold could not be erected from.
The scaffold for this elevation had to be completely suspended from a designed kentledged support structure cantilevering out from the roof of the building we were erecting the wall for. What’s more, this elevation had changes in lift heights due to large steps in the adjoining roof. A brickwork external skin, also meant high platform loads needed to be achieved without the need for ties and 1.5m lifts needed to be maintained. The independent bays and inside board brackets were used to achieve this while maintaining 2m lift heights for access.
The simplicity of utilising the Layher system for suspended scaffold was prevalent, without the need for a single check fitting in the suspended structure.
